There are several types of guided meditations. This article will focus on specific guided meditation called the third meditation of the eyes. The third meditation of the eyes is a great way to open the third chakra of the eyes called Chakra head and Ajna Chakra. This guided meditation will help develop several different faculties in one person. These include self master, wisdom, esp, intuition, imagination, ability to read with precision others and concentration.
There are basic things that will help this guided meditation. You will need somehop that guided meditation, a comfortable quiet location and you should not be too full or hungry.
In this guided meditation like all meditations, you must not constrain or try to force it in any way. The first thing you want to do is sit in a comfortable position in crossed legs on the ground with your right vertebral column, but not rigid. You can also sit on a chair with your feet flat on the floor. Then you want to take full breaths, breathe through the nose and completely fill the lower half of the lungs, working until the upper half of the lungs. When you fill up the lower half of the lungs, the stomach should come out. Hold this breath for a number of 5. Next exhale the air, first the top of the lungs then the bottom of the lungs. Push all the air until there is more more in your lungs. Repeat this operation 5 times.
The next stage of the third meditation of the eyes is to put your hands on the other before you. This allows the energy generated by the meditation to circulate freely in the body. You then close your eyes and pay your attention on a point between your eyebrows and slightly higher. You can feel when you focus on the right place. Then start saying silently your UM yourself, which is pronounced AUM. Say it slowly long. Repeat this operation slowly to yourself again and again for 20 minutes. Your mind will wonder and you will get ice creams, tremors and all kinds of things that want to distract you. Maintain the mantra and when your mind drifts, bring it closer to the mantra. Do not get rid of mind drifting to other thoughts, it’s normal and expected.
As a beginner with the third meditation of the eyes, it is sometimes useful to imagine the sound vibrations of the mantra from the third eye. Do not try the mantra with breaths, but if it happens naturally, that’s fine. It is better to forget the breath and focus on the mantra. At some point in your third hand meditation practice, you will begin to lose the mantra without any other thought, while maintaining your consciousness. It’s a good thing and what you should work for. Typically, when this happens, the head will drop that your mind becomes completely silent.
Do not worry if you think you did not know deeply in some daily guided meditations. Studies have shown that sometimes, when we think we are in a very deep meditation, we really do not have and aim. It is better not to have waiting and the results will come next.
When the 20 minutes of the third meditation of the eyes ended, slowly open the eyes and sit for a few minutes. Let your energies fit and get comfortable with your surrounding environment.
